My motivation to begin my genealogical journey was my great-aunt Paula whom I am named after. Starting on my maternal side I began with 13 names, now I have a combined 580 names on my maternal and paternal sides of the family in August 2025.
In 2014, it was suggested that I work to become a professional genealogist and make my passion into a career. I enrolled in the Canadian Records Certificate Program at the International Institute for Genealogical Studies and graduated in 2017 earning my credentials PLCGS.
Through all my research, I have had discoveries such as: family addresses, marriage certificates, include military photos and images of family members arrested by the Gestapo, postcards and more. My research has also encouraged me to travel to Europe and walk the same streets as my family. Visiting family addresses, cemeteries, concentration camps, memorials, Linz Castle, Kindertransport office and Gestapo Office.
March 2025 I enrolled at the International Institute for Genealogical Studies DNA and Genetic Genealogy Program in the process of earning my DNA credentials. Expanding my passion for genealogy into the fast growing field so that I will be able to help others uncover many unsolved mysteries.
