Stones of Remembrance

Have you ever walked through Europe and seen little plaques on the ground outside apartment buildings?

These are called Stones of Remembrance,   they serve as a grave stone for many but also as a reminder for those that once lived there, part of the community, and lost their lives to the Nazis.

On September 24, 2026, I had the opportunity to attend the Inauguration of six new addresses in Brigitteneau the 20th District in Vienna with my mother.

We had the opportunity to join other from around the world, there as well also honouring their own families.

To be able to leave a permanent marker where my maternal grandfather and his family lived is truly incredible. Its a reminder of a family that once lived at that address.

We are truly thankful, for the team in Vienna that worked so hard to make this possible.
